Rural but not too far from anything. Lovely place as a whole, nicely decorated, good ambience and very friendly staff. Room and ensuite was very nice, both very clean and in good nick. Bed was comfy and we both slept well. Double glazing does well at keeping road noise down to a minimum. Breakfast was REEEALLY good; huge, so bring your appetite!

Just refurbished to an excellent standard by someone with real vision- they've turned an ordinary country pub into a local destination. Hence the name i guess- the ugly duckling turns into a beautiful Swan! Great dining areas, lovely food, personable helpful staff, delightful rooms with sound proofing. It'll be interesting to see the fantastic outside dining area with chiminea when fully finished!
