A perfect home stay when you visit Telavi! Lali is an amazing hostess. She goes out of her ways to help you. From day one she made sure that we were comfortable. She even gave us a bigger room than the one we booked. I also wanted to comment that she is very kind. She helped us find a vineyard we visited. Took us to the bazar, negotiated with the taxi drivers so they won’t rip us off and even called the vineyard owner to book our tour and also the taxi back to Telavi. Also when we changed our plans one late afternoon to get back to Tblisi as the weather in Telavi was a bit bad, she was amazing to find us another taxi from the Telavi bazar despite of the terrible weather. She also got the taxi drivers number to make sure that we got back to Tblisi safe and also texted us to confirm. So if you ever plan to visit Telavi, stay at hers because it’s worth it and meeting kind and helpful people makes your trip more memorable.

Everything. Lela is a generous and helpful hostess. The bed is top quality for a great sleep. The room, bathroom and shared kitchen is spotlessly clean. There is a spacious deck to relax on, a shared lounge with tv and a cosy room to enjoy a fire in cool times. We could easily walk to the palace, fortress, plane tree, restaurants and bus station within a few minutes. Excellent place to stay all round.

We very much enjoyed our stay at Old Gate. Lali, our excellent host, was most welcoming and went the extra mile to help us out with whatever practical issue we asked for. Highly recommended! Room was very spacious, clean and comfortable. The house has a very nice terrace, where you can relax with a cup of coffee or tea.
