The property overlooks the sea. It is fully equipped and a 10 minutes stroll will take you right around the main bay road. There are three taverna's, and two reasonably sized mini markets for any needs. We were lucky in that the weather was exceptional and there were very few tourists and the Greek school were still in attendance. Be advised a car hire is recommended because the transfer time from Mytilene is approximately 90 minutes. Overall a lovely quiet and peaceful resort.

A place for those who want complete peace and quiet. I can only mention one difficulty and that is the distance to the ferry port. 1.5 hours away from the ferry port. You can shop at Lidl first and then go there. Or there is a supermarket in Kaloni. There are small markets in Tavari. The location of the house is very nice. You can have great fun on your balcony. Being right by the sea is a great advantage. There are also restaurants within walking distance. You can have a pleasant time in the evenings with delicious appetizers and meals. Since it is not too crowded, it is a perfect place to relax. I advise. The host is also very kind. He responds to all your questions in a very short time.

We were slightly apprehensive about booking a new listing but were so glad we did as both the accommodation and the village were absolutely perfect! The apartment is brand new and has everything you need for a stay of any length, including a full kitchen, large balcony with a view, indoor seating and a spacious main bedroom - we didn't use the other bedroom as there was just the two of us. It was easy to find from the photos in the listing and no problems with picking up the key from the box. Tavari itself is a lovely little place - peace and quiet but with enough places to eat that you had some choice. We tried one of the beach bars and 2 of the tavernas and everything was delicious. Also huge portions and the cheapest prices we found on the island! The beach is coarse sand and pebbles but the beach bars have sun loungers for customers and there seemed to be plenty of locals also using it. We will certainly stay here again when we return to Lesvos.
