Now this is how it should be; a beautifully preserved grand dame of a house, full of history and charm, quiet and serene with a comfortable bed, delicious breakfast and a lovely view across the harbour. You can get modern chrome, white walls and blandness in any number of motels, but this is a standout: old school charm, sedate and relaxed and all the better for it. Throw in two charming and helpful hosts and you’ve got a winner.
