Originally I didn't plan for this as I didn't know the area. Wanted to just do Transalpina from Ranca, see Satana Stefanu (must see and enjoy btw) and then stay somewhere in the region. Can't say in a few words how much I've enjoyed this stay at Popasul Regelui. Managed to book the last room for one night and while the road was challenging (you'll be passing ~30km throough narrow road next to Cindrel Mountains) the scenery from Tau Bistra is breath taking. All staff was welcoming and very warm.

Location of the hotel next to the entry to Transalpina is excellent. For motorcyclist there is nothing more one can expect. For the price, room was spacious and clean.
