Self checkin process is very simple, you can also checkin around midnight which is especialy great if you are there for some morning hikes. There werent any people at the moment, but the common area looks also great for meeting with other hikers

This is an incredible hostel. It’s is clean, it has great supplies, and it’s in a great location if you’re looking to climb the high tatras and not far from two restaurants as well. Each bed has a privacy curtain, private light and private charger. The female dorm I stayed in had 4 beds. There is a common room with games, a tv, and also there is a balcony. There is a bathroom with a shower and washer and dryer (pay to use these, 3.50 euro per load). The kitchen was stocked with both free food and food you can pay extra for. It is a set-check in hostel so you can arrive anytime.

Everything with check-in worked well. The Hostel is at a good location, only a few minute walk to the train station where the train brings you fastly and affordable to the hiking routes.
