We wanted a weekend with the snow, and we were a bit late for that. But Vallalunga is on a mountain top, ideal if you like to go for walks in the mountain, and had plenty of snow around. The hotel is managed by a family, their food is fantastic, so fantastic that we ended up eating more than walking! The room is perfect for a family wiht little kids, my kids did not want to go back home.

What a gem! Welcoming and attentive staff. (Make sure you have a translate app). Location is off the beaten path with great hiking and amazing views any way you look. World’s longest suspension bridge only a few min away. Fantastic breakfast Italian style with premium products. (Note drive to location from Como lake is not for the faint hearted but well worth it)
