With mixed reviews from past guests, we arrived with a little trepidation, only to be thrilled with every aspect of our stay at this hotel. The grand front entrance was a delight in itself. The staff from the moment we were greeted at the front desk were extremely helpful, professional and a credit to their industry. The room was comfortable and large. Air conditioning was the quietest we had encountered in many hotels across Europe. We could relax by the pool in quiet comfort when we were not exploring the delightful city streets, landmarks and countryside. All within a short walk, yet it was a very peaceful place throughout. Buildings age, fittings wear and the expectations of too many 'critics' make it very difficult to trust negative reviews of many hotels. We extended our stay here and loved every minute.
