Very nice staff and owners. The rooms (garden view) are huge, the food very good (mostly buffet). They cooperate with Olin dive for diving, who pick you up at the pier at 8:00. The excursions cost 2300000 - 2700000 for 3 dives depending on the spots.

The rooms are large, cozy and very welcoming. The place is rather new and the owners and managers and making a lot of work to grow its opportunities - they are even making they own garden so that they can produce their own veggies. The common space is super relaxing and well designed. The food is great - a special mention to the chef. Waisai is not the best place for snorkeling but the corals at Vogelkopf are quite nice. The jetty is shaped like a fish. The best corals are inside and outside the left end of the fish, where the "tail" is.

The Resort is set on an ideal location with with a short boardwalk from the Eatery out onto a long fish-shaped returning jetty that you can dive from to see an an impressive coral garden with very high marine biodiversity. The rooms are great, modern, spacious, comfortable and clean with a huge private bathroom attached. The air-con is top notch. The staff were wonderful - friendly, happy and helpful with everything from arranging tours to see Birds of Paradise, to dive tours, to ferry tickets, to local transport etc. They even ran us in to town to buy nokem bags and helped us negotiate with the traders. Really couldn't praise this place highly enough. It has the feel of luxurious resort without the pretentiousness and with a large dose of local charm. The food is amazing too. 4 meals a day (!), all cooked on site from local produce including fish straight from the sea and vegetables straight out of the extensive gardens on site. We will definitely return to Vogelkopf resort, one of the best holidays we've ever experienced.
