New house with modern facilities located right along the Kumano Kodo route. Very comfortable futon bed w/egg tray foam topper and high quality, crisp linen and pillows. Appreciated the pyjamas provided! We stayed in the 2nd flr room which had a private toilet but had to share the shower downstairs. Bento box for dinner and bread/butter/jam with coffee/tea for breakfast are included.

Well appointed, with lounge, laundry, fire sit etc; right on Kumano Kodo route. Dinner bento was enjoyable as was free beer, but breakfast was very basic. All DIY.

Beautiful design, perfect location on the trail right by Takahara Kumano Shrine, peaceful location surrounded by nature, everything clean and very comfortable bed.

The accommodation was clean, modern, and in very good condition — everything still felt quite new. However, the experience was rather impersonal. Check-in is done via a Skype call, which may not appeal to those looking for a more authentic or warm hospitality experience.
