The location is PERFECT, very close (walking distance) from the main attraction of the town, and sorrounded by many great food places and bars. The “remote” assistance of the stuff works perfectly fine. The “old fashioned” style of the rooms is cute. The bed was comfortable enough. Common areas clean and comfortable too.

The inn is located by the river and is very close to the Furukawa Morning Market.

Beautiful old Ryokan, very clean and affordable. Right in the opposite bank of the Miyagawa morning market. Takayama itself is really beautiful and the Ryokan matches the aesthetics perfectly.

We enjoyed the location of the property, it was within 5 min walk of the Old Historic Quarter. The rooms were very large for Japan too. It is a beautiful building that has been generally well preserved.
