This hostel has only showers. Guests wishing to use a bathtub must go to one of the public baths or hot springs near the hostel. There are 2 Western-style toilets, one on each floor.Please note that lights in shared spaces are turned off at 22:00.Guests receive sheets and pillowcases from the reception at check-in and are expected to fit them on their own. Upon check-out, guests should remove the linens and place them in the indicated basket.Please note that guests aged 9 years and below are not allowed in shared dormitories, including existing beds.Please note that late check-in after 23:00 is unavailable at this property.A luggage room is available for guests who arrive early and should be requested in advance.Please note that an additional charge of JPY 2000 per 30 minutes will apply for late check-out, up to 12:00.Smoking in the property will incur an additional charge of JPY 20000.Please note that late check-in is available from 21:00 to 23:00 at this property and must be requested in advance.An accommodation tax per person per night is not included in the price and needs to be paid at the property.

I had a really lovely stay here. It’s a small, family-run guesthouse where you truly feel welcomed and taken care of. Takayama itself is quite compact, and the old town is only about a 5-minute walk away, which makes the location very convenient. There are also plenty of restaurants nearby, and a FamilyMart is just around the corner. The hosts gave great recommendations for things to do in the area, including a beautiful temple walk and places to explore around the old town, which has a lot of charm despite being quite small. I would definitely recommend a stay here!

Pretty much everything, the free tea was better than any other place I've stayed, the room was large, the kitchen was quite well stocked, the wifi was good, etc.
