Great location, the food is good, it does get repetative after three days but it’s still amazing value for money. I would definitely recommend it.

The room was comfy and cosy with an amazing view of Mt Aso. The hotel is right next to the visitor centre so we were able to go there first thing and check if it was safe to go up the mountain. The hotel buffet had a good variety of food and allergen labels. The staff were friendly and very helpful. Absolutely loved the late night snack of yaki-imo offered at the reception desk.

Room was dated. When we reached there, the staff told us that the public onsens were not opened because due to clogged pipes. Next morning when we checked out, the staff wanted us to pay for the Onsen surcharges . Got to explain we didn't used it as the staff yesterday mentioned to us that it was not opened !

Meal is great with plenty of varieties and quality is good. Public onsen is nice and clean.
