Everything. I have now visited Tain seven times, and always book with Shandwick House if it is available. It's close to the station and the town centre. Dennis is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is excellent, and has my favourite - Stornoway black pudding. There is nothing that could be improved. It is easily the best hotel/B&B in Easter Ross.

I stayed here for three nights at the end of June 2025. I found the whole experience to be very pleasant and stress-free. The host was very friendly, attentive, and helpful, with great knowledge of the local area. The room was excellent, and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was also superb. I would highly recommend staying here, and I will definitely return if I'm in the area.

Lovely house and great large room. Very comfortable bed and large ensuite shower room. Plenty of storage for clothes. Good WiFi and internet TV. Lots of parking right next to the house. Kettle with plenty of tea and coffee. In a nice quiet area, with no issues of noise from outside. The wooden shutters were a bonus because it stays light in the Highlands and I needed to be up at 5 am. The owner made me a packed breakfast and lunch on my first morning because I had to leave very early for a walk, which was well beyond my expectations. Fantastic quality breakfast on my second morning which kept me going on my 8 hour drive home. Highly recommended.
