It was a pleasure staying at Sol y Vida. Very nice place to relax, we would have liked to stay a bit longer to enjoy the environment. The house is surrounded by a patio which is quite big and full of interesting items, like a small museum. The host is very kind and explained us about the environment. Extra note: the advertisement says there is no internet available, but there is!

Sol y Vida is a very special place, a working turtle refuge that also offers holiday accommodation in a beautiful building facing the mountains. The owners are extremely welcoming and helpful. It’s a place to slow down, linger at the ponds and count turtles, watch the flanks of the sierra change colour through the day and gaze at the stars.

The whole place is enchanting, really peaceful, the accommodation was a house and it was superb. Herman is a nice guy 😀
