Fantastic value for money in a very central location. Yes it's old (historic!) and yes their are communal bathroom facilities (clean and functional with period fixtures) but it's so cool to stay in a real piece of living history in a great location. The noise from the bar downstairs was present but not intolerable at all, just happy noise. The staff were amazing, particularly Eliza and Taz. Be sure to visit the convict era ruins and small museum just next door.

It was genuinely a unique experience that I will be repeating interesting and attentive staff busy but very friendly! Guests there too also very interesting and well travelled it was a great experience. The food menu and drinks were amazing. The entire heritage building was a step back to the Old Rocks and was so much more fun than a sterile high rise hotel.
