Spectacular food. Three course breakfast is included in the room price. Nice touches like homemade scones and watermelon juice on arrival. Very accommodating staff and owner.

The owners and staff were lovely. Made you feel very welcome and the food was excellent. Property restored over many years with love. We would definitely stay again. If you like Koi Carp, you will love the fish!! To look at that is, not eat 😄

Gorgeous old building, renovated beautifully. The grounds and the rooms away from the main house (where we were) were absolutely lovely. Extremely friendly atmosphere we met both the owners who were lovely and the rest of the staff were so warm and helpful. The conservatory restaurant is the show stopper though. Such a beautiful room and utterly spectacular food. From our research it feels like a lot of people stop in Swellendam for a break on the way to garden route but this is a worth a night or two for sure !!

Charming ‘old school’ country house hotel set in beautiful gardens & outdoor pool. Well furnished & very comfortable rooms with small outside terraces. Alison & her team are great hosts & ensure every guest is special. Thank you for a great stay & hope to see you again.
