Hostel Overview

Overlooking Swanage Bay and the Jurassic Coast, this YHA hostel is 250 metres from Swanage’s Blue Flag sandy beach. It offers affordable accommodation, free parking, a restaurant and laundry facilities. The majority of rooms contain bunk beds.
Each morning cooked English and continental breakfasts are available at an extra cost, whilst the restaurant offers traditional meals throughout the day. Guests have use of self-catering kitchen facilities and packed lunches are also available.
Guests can relax in the impressive lounge, which boasts wood-panelled walls, luxurious sofas and a huge chandelier. There is also a selection of games, a TV and Wi-Fi access is available in all public areas of YHA Swanage.
The Victorian Pier and Swanage Steam railway are both within a 10-minute walk of the YHA Swanage. This beautiful coastal town has a good selection of cafes, restaurants and shops.

Perfect location very close to town centre. Beautiful garden and the building. The kitchen was very efficiently designed. We haven't used the kitchen, though, but next time, we definitely would use it

The room and communal kitchen were both very clean and well-prepared. There were plenty of charging points by the bed, so I didn’t need to worry about charging my phone or portable charger for the next day. The staff were lovely and recommended some great places in town for breakfast.

Clean and fully equipped shared kitchen space with everything you need to cook. Clean fridges with space for your food. Really nice lounge space with wooden panelling. Parking lot was pretty empty during my stay so it was easy to find a spot. Bedroom was clean and tidy and there were power points and lights on each bunk. I think the wifi was decent which is rare for a YHA. Showers are better than many other YHAs as they have doors so the entire floor is not drenched. Overall a comfortable and very practical place to stay. The female staff memeber who greeted me on my arrival was extremely friendly and helpful and let me use the self-catering kitchen while I was waiting.
