Sheila “Good for a short overnight stop”

Village Inn& suites was a good place for an overnight stop. The beds were comfortable. The bathroom facilities adequate and the parking of course was right in front of the room. There are a pizza hut and Tim Hortons a short drive down the road so quick food was possible for dinner and breakfast. One bonus too was that since we were headed west, we could just stay on that old Highway 17 which cuts across and rejoins the new TransCanada Highway 17 rather than backtracking into Sudbury to continue on our journey. The supplemental charge for our two small dogs was also reasonable. Also, there was a nice grassy area in the back of the motel where we could throw the ball for the dogs.

Front desk staff was helpful when I could not get the heating unit working. Solid door with good locks. Hair dryer provided. Bathroom was very clean. Good value for me and my pet.

Good location for us west of Sudbury although close to the highway. However, traffic was light after 6 pm and A/C drowned out traffic sounds. Bathroom setup was spacious and the sinks, tub and toilet areas were very clean. Bathroom had clearly been updated. The room had a microwave, fridge and a simple coffee maker. The manager was friendly and helpful with a minor wifi issue.
