“A last minute hotel decision that turned into one of the best stays of our trip!”

Location was great, in the center with eateries, a Bonus grocery store and petrol pumps within 5 minutes of the hotel. Room was clean, cosy and well heated and toiletries provided. Additional small touches like chocolates and a ‘comfort kit’ were a bonus. The buffet breakfast was tasty with a lot of variety (including fruits and hard-boiled eggs) and always replenished immediately! Although there wasn’t a shared kitchen to use, guests could use the breakfast area to heat food (we bought pre-packed food from Bonus) in the microwave and make a hot drink (various types of tea, coffee and hot chocolate) using the kettle provided. All these complimentary items were always well stocked. Philipp, the staff, was exceptional! Always friendly, pleasant, helpful and approachable. It was lovely interacting with him and exchanging ideas. Helped us a lot with tips on driving around the Snaefellsnes Peninsula. If you are looking for a place to stay in Stykkishólmur, this is it. Excellent quality price ratio! Stykkishólmur is a quaint town well worth exploring. I highly recommend this hotel for its location, comfort and of course, the-ever- helpful staff! 😊

This inn is in a cute little town in the Western Fjords, great location. There is even a kitchen open at all hours with a kettle, microwave and candy. The room was very clean. The breakfast had lots of choices and was tasty.
