The location the fact the manor had been in the family since1700 The food was excellent and so were the staff The bed was comfy The gardens

This is a beautiful owner run hotel in pretty grounds, very friendly staff , it was clean with à attractive dining room and bar/sitting room. It’s kept the character and decor of an ancestral manor (which it is) while rooms are fresh and clean with tiled bathrooms.

Excellent food. Olive nibbles were a bonus. Fresh coffee, hot scrambled eggs, plenty of butter & real marmalade at breakfast all excellent,
