Best Rumanian experience starting from the very first moment til saying heartfelt goodbyes. Actually it was hard to leave this place. This place is built by owners and not only the building itself, but the embodiment of hospitality at its best. It has a perfect location - peaceful, scenic village close to monasteries and other attractions in the region, delicious Romanian traditional food (that is the experience itself), hosts are at your service and ready to fulfill any request. The exterior and interior of the house are very tasteful and beautiful. Rooms and beds are comfortable. Mountain views are pristine and calming. There is also a little playground for kids, farm animals around (cows with their bells and chicken). Kids also are celebrated and very welcomed. Hosts are using the translating app and communicating with their guests in their own language, giving helpful insights and tips. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony and in the garden. Toiletries and towels are provided. There is also a good size fridge in the room. Thank you so much and we can't wait to come back one day!

We absolutely loved our stay at Pensiunea Plai Străbun! Perfect introduction to Romania! The owner is incredibly kind, hospitable, and attentive, always happy to chat and passionately explain every dish. The rooms were extra clean, with soft bedsheets that made it hard to stay awake! The views are phenomenal. We had dinner twice and breakfast once – all homemade and utterly delicious. We’ll definitely be back! ❤️

Very kind and welcoming hosts! We were able to have a Romanian dinner outside, under the apple tree, although we arrived late and did not communicate the desire to eat dinner at the accommodation this beforehand. The delicious and very much affordable food was home made using local produce. We were able to choose what room we liked the most. The views over the mountains are really stunning.
