The breakfast provided included fresh food, eggs, honey, tasted even nicer knowing it was all their own. The host Steve was welcoming and easy to chat with, giving us lots of information about the area. The location is a peaceful retreat, feeling like everything just slowed down. It is quiet and far enough away from the busy-ness of the world, yet still a quick drive into the CBD. The cats are very friendly. We wish it had been cold enough to light the fire! And we could see Mt Taranaki from the front yard!

We love this property. The garden is delightful, and it’s very nice to sit on the little deck and enjoy its tranquility. The Rooms are very pleasant with every thing you need , comfy bed lovely quality bed linen , log burner to keep away the cold and a delicious breakfast for you to prepare. This is our third time here and we are very happy .

We had a wonderful three-night stay at Brecon Pond B&B. The apartment is spacious, very clean, and tastefully decorated, with a comfortable bed, modern bathroom, and a fully equipped kitchen. Everything is thoughtfully arranged and very practical for a longer stay. The hosts were extremely welcoming and helpful. Steve shared excellent recommendations for local attractions and dining options, and even provided a red-light torch for kiwi spotting. We especially appreciated the fresh eggs from their chickens and honey from their hives. The private deck overlooking the pond and garden is a lovely, peaceful place to unwind after a day exploring Egmont National Park. Highly recommended.
