The general atmosphere inside the property was wonderful; light, really well laid out and spacious with appealing decor - modern, practical and just everything needed as it were a home rather than a holiday apartment. I can travel lighter another time! If you had kids, then the array of toys, games, dvd's etc was unusually good. Nice outdoor space, only thing that was a smidgeon of a disappointment was the road noise in the day, so I didn't sit out there then - better in the eve. The village itself is great; small, nice community feel, yet a super-friendly and good pub a few yards away and a great Italian opposite the apartment & nice village shop. Some nice paths just to walk the dog for quick top-ups. Being right on the SW Coast path was a big draw, and that still is one of the best things. Being able to head directly east or west down the coast road to beaches and other villages/towns also excellent. It didn't matter too much that there wasn't a garden for the dog as the path through the churchyard a few feet away this leads to a nice stroll to the park. Plenty of tech stuff that I didn't use but others would love.

Waves was very clean and spacious, we had beautiful views of the sunrise. The location was perfect, 10 min drive out of dartmouth. Stoke Fleming is a beautiful village, with a welcoming local pub just around the corner from Waves and an Italian restaurant across the road. Challenging walks can be had down to Blackpool Sands and even more challenging walks down to Slapton Sands but there is a bus back which drops off outside of the apartment. The welcome gift on arrival was a lovely touch after a very long journey

Waves has everything you need, it's clean and comfortable with lots of thoughtful touches, the host does everything she can to ensure you have a great break. There is a dedicated car parking space which is handy or a bus stop right outside the house. There's a pub and a shop just around the corner and even a beach if you fancy a slightly longer walk. If you fancy a trip out then Dartmouth is minutes away. It's definitely a little gem.
