Very central to the water, bars, cafes and restaurants. Comfortable quiet rooms, helpful staff. Great breakfast choice.

Location was spot on, the water pressure in the shower was excellent (despite being on the 3rd floor) and the bed was extremely comfy

We had a really lovely stay at Scandic Gamla Stan. The hotel is full of charm, with that slightly old-world feel that suits Gamla Stan perfectly. Our room was comfortable, the bed was great, and we even had a beautiful view over the rooftops, which made it feel extra special. The location is excellent – tucked away in a quieter part of Gamla Stan, yet still right in the middle of everything. It’s just a short walk to Södermalm and also across to the main island, Norrmalm. It’s also very easy to get to the ferries for exploring further. We used the ferries to visit ABBA The Museum and also took an archipelago boat tour, which we’d highly recommend – such a highlight of the trip. This isn’t a luxury or overly polished hotel, but that’s part of its appeal. It’s cosy, quaint, and full of character – a perfect base for exploring Stockholm.
