Location is absolutely perfect in Gamla Stan, close to ferries like the 82 to Djurgarten (Skansen, Abba etc) and to the Nobel Museum and Slussen, but is not too noisy because streets are too narrow for traffic.

Fantastic location on the fringe of the old town. Everything you would want for a 'in a nutshell' tour of the city is on the doorstep, including some very fine eateries (Restaurang Tradition, Den Gyldene Freden, Kryp In), wanders around the streets and boat tours of the islands. Skeppsbro Bakery on the waterside down from the hotel is a great spot for a very reasonable breakfast, especially if the weather is nice. Staff were super friendly and helpful (finding us a room nearer the shared bathrooms). Hotel had charm being in such an old part of the town and everything was clean and comfortable. We could even borrow a kettle to make a hot drink in our room.

Location in Gamla Stan was great. It was lovely to be able to have the window open for fresh air 24/7 - the evening breeze in summer was delightful.
