We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Ferienhaus am Gurkenradweg. There was everything we needed in the house - including a welcome present in a form of typical Spreewald pickles. Yummy! We came at the end of October and I was really afraid it would be cold but it was not - we could regulate the heating. The house was quite spacious with a perfectly equipped kitchen - even the knives were sharp and there was a dishwasher for us "spoiled travelers" ;) The owner was nice even though I cannot speak German. Unfortunately we couldn't use the garden and grill to relax but it's waiting there for you when it's warmer :) The location - Lübennau - showed to be a perfect spot for boat trips on the canals. There are also multiple paths for walking or riding a bike in a beautiful nature - I couldn' t get enough :) For kids I also recommend swimming with penguins in local spa. We also went to Tropical Island which was crazy crowded but it was huge so time was flying by having fun with our kids :) Spreewald (german Venice) was a pleasant surprise to me and I'd recommend it to everyone along with Ferienhaus am Gurkenradweg.
