Stamford lodge is a few minutes walk to the very quaint and lively town centre. My room was quirky and comfortable. I appreciated the fan to cool me as the temperature was high for my stay.The bed and pillows were exceptionally comfortable. The shower had excellent water pressure and the bathroom had a wee bit of a luxurious feel to it. Although on a busy road it was quiet at night so I had a good night's sleep. I would recommend Stamford Lodge and I would return.

This stay was bought as a gift for my out of town son and his fiancé. I had a phone call from the host saying that they could find wine and cheese waiting for them (a lovely touch). They were so pleased with the comfortable and quirky accommodation that Stamford Lodge has to offer that they can’t wait to come back.
