It's a beautiful and well presented cottage, very spacious and great facilities for cooking. Staithes is a small village with a couple of tea rooms, pubs and a couple of little shops. Parking is at the top of the hill and a reasonable £10 per day. Everywhere is very dog friendly and they have some wonderful local walks. We visited mid-week and it was very quiet, many of the shops were closed until Saturday morning. (April visit). Overall lovely village and Flither cottage is welcoming and homely, with everything you'd need for a short stay.

Great cottage, lovely fire, clean. Comfy beds and fully equipped. Easy access. Drop stuff off at the door and then a wee walk to the top car park which is free in winter. Great pubs, portions at the Royal George are huge. Lovely stay. Proper sea shanty village. So peaceful and still folk around in winter. Great and relaxing break. Plenty of great walks. Close to Whitby and Saltburn. Coop at the top if needed or short drive to Asda, Aldi etc. Hinderwell also great. Brown Cow pub and butchers both amazing. Just an amazing, relaxing break. Great to be holed up in the bottom of the village with the sounds of the seaside and cobbled streets, lovely buildings, friendly locals and great food on your doorstep.

We love the charm of these cottages along the East Yorkshire Coast. Flither Cottage was warm and welcoming. good sized rooms and a bathroom with bath and separate shower.
