The staff and breakfast were good and the room was comfortable. The pub itself is a real local, which is good to see but can perhaps make you feel like you are crashing a family party. It is down to earth and a bit worn but is a genuine mining and china clay working pub. The accommodation was in a different part of the building but you could hear the music which continued until midnight, but it was jolly and it was saturday night, so good on 'em. The boards advertising pub meals showed them to be very reasonably priced

Enjoyed our stay. Very friendly staff and Jon was so approachable. Lovely breakfasts. Much more atmosphere than a dreary Travel lodge for example. If you like English pubs and friendly locals, this is for you.

The breakfast here was nothing but amazing and put together really well I've never had a Cornish breakfast and the hogs pudding was awesome the room was lovely and clean and at home I've recently got a new mattress and didn't think I would sleep as well as I did the bed was comfortable and the facilities were nice we will come back one day

The rooms were accessed privately and not through the pub. The rooms were warm comfortable They had all amenities required The food was excellent and the prize very reasonable

Convenient for the Eden Project, nearby parking, warm during a very cold winter stay! The bedroom linen was clean and fresh. The cooked breakfasts were a highlight.

The staff were friendly, Food in the evening was excellent with generous proportions and breakfast was the same. The bedroom was clean and the water was hot. Popular place with the locals.
