Based on the pictures, here is an enhanced final version of the review with a few details added that you may have missed, while staying fully true to your experience and tone: --- Review – Iram Houseboat, Kashmir We absolutely loved our stay at Iram Houseboat. It truly felt like a home away from home, offering a warm, homely atmosphere that reflects the real essence of Kashmir. The hospitality was outstanding, especially from the owner and the young man assigned to look after us, who made sure we were comfortable throughout our stay. A special thanks to the owner for taking the time to explain the history of the houseboat and for personally ensuring that our stay was pleasant and memorable. We are also deeply thankful to the lovely young boy who was available to us throughout, helping with everything we needed. His local knowledge was invaluable, especially his recommendations for the best places to visit, many of which you would not easily find on the web. As a local explorer and trekker, his insights truly added depth to our experience. The room deserves a special mention. It was amazing, warm, and extremely comfortable. The traditional bukhari heater kept the room cozy, and the three clean woolen blankets provided made our nights very comfortable even in the cold weather. The entire room, like the rest of the houseboat, was lined with beautiful carpets, adding warmth and enhancing the authentic Kashmiri feel. The intricate wooden carvings on the walls, ceiling, and furniture made the space feel timeless and truly special. The common areas were equally charming. The dining space and sitting area were beautifully maintained, with handcrafted wooden furniture, detailed carvings, and a calm, inviting atmosphere. Everything was clean, well arranged, and thoughtfully kept, making it a pleasure to spend time indoors as well. The food was amazing and felt just like home cooked Kashmiri meals.

Iram Houseboat is a serene floating haven where the water whispers and the mountains watch quietly. I stayed here with my girlfriend and for a while the usual chaos of life felt like a distant memory. Fayaz is exceptional. Attentive, warm, and effortlessly kind, he makes the stay feel personal, like you are not just a guest but part of the story. If you are seeking calm, beauty, and a touch of genuine care, this is the place that stays with you.

We had an amazing time at Iram houseboat The owner was very friendly and understanding. He made our stay extremely convenient. All facilities were available and the houseboat was well kept. Would love to return here.
