The location was great for hiking in Slovak Paradise National Park or the Low Tatras. The host was amazing - so helpful, friendly, and accommodating. The flat was clean, comfortable, and had everything you need for a homely stay.

The room was absolutely spotless, and the bed was so comfortable! I really appreciated having a private kitchen and bathroom with a shower – everything you need to feel right at home. The host is a real gem – so kind and welcoming, always there to help with a smile and offer great advice. I truly felt taken care of. Definitely recommend this place!

The Modry Dom apartments are a wonderful place to stay if you want to enjoy the natural beauty of the Slovak Paradise. We discovered this place completely by chance – we were traveling from a climbing trip in Austria to Slovakia to do the Kyseľ via ferrata and explore some climbing spots in Slovak Paradise. We were looking for a place to stay on the way, and initially wanted to stay at a campsite, as it’s important for us to be as close to nature as possible. Since we couldn’t find any beautiful campsites, and we were planning to arrive late in the evening while it was raining, we started looking for a place in a village with a garden – and that’s how we found Modry Dom. Modry Dom is located in a charming little village, in a residential area, with views of the mountains and meadows. The apartment interior is tasteful and elegant – just like in the photos. The bed is comfortable, the linens are fragrant, the bathroom is beautiful and well thought-out, and through the large windows you can see the garden. The living room and kitchen are combined – just as elegant and spacious as the bedroom – and although they are shared, we never ended up at the table at the same time as the neighbors. The kitchen is equipped with all the necessary utensils and appliances for cooking, and – importantly – there are also basic cooking essentials provided: pepper, salt, sugar, oil, etc. The price for this apartment was the same as we would have paid at a campsite, but with completely different comforts – so in the end we got a “camping experience in a house” with the nature view we were hoping for. The host was incredibly kind. The other guests we met were also lovely, wonderful people who had returned to these apartments more than once. We’ll do the same. P.S. On Sunday we visited the local church where the locals gathered for a Sunday service, and afterwards we had ice cream. The wonders of Slovak Paradise were just a 30-minute drive away. Very nice and helpful owner. She doesn't live there, so you don't need to be worried about privacy. There are 2 apartments on the 1st floor. On the ground floor there are 3 specious rooms with a shared fully equipped kitchen and living room. Very nice garden area, but it was too cold to fully enjoy it.
