Robert “Nice spot in Southwold”

Excellent location, close to the pier and to the town centre with free parking. The host was a very nice and helpful gentleman. Quiet location at the bottom.of a nice garden.
Sarah “Lovely family stay by the sea”
19 Jan 2026
The location was a few steps from the beach and pier, plus the property has some outside seating to have breakfast outside. The host John was respectful, kind, and accommodating. Very good communication. The property was really clean and included lots of little touches that had been well thought of! We really enjoyed our stay and thought it was good value for money.

Sally “Beautiful Southwold”
12 Sep 2025
Wonderful location very close to the sea in Southwold and just a ten minute amble into the beautiful town. Very clean and kitted out with everything you need for self-catering, and John had provided us with milk, tea, coffee, and sugar. Lovely to meet John (owner and builder of the property that sits at the back of his own house). We had use of his garden with our young dog. It is completely enclosed, so there was no fear of losing our pup. Southwold is so beautiful. We went at the end of the season in September, so it was quiet, but still had some life to it with a couple of coach trips coming in and shops open in the town at least by 11am (some sooner). Lovely cafes and most places we went in were dog friendly. Great service with friendly staff. Wonderful old-fashioned greengrocer in the town selling super fresh looking fruit and veg. Beautiful houses stretching along the sea front and into the town. All individual with some looking like they had been plucked out of the Chitty Chitty Bang Bang movie. Stunning working lighthouse at the edge of town. We could see the light at night from the sleeping deck at The Wheelhouse where we were staying. Coffee from one of the beach kiosks closer to the pier was only £2.50 (bit pricier elsewhere but without the stunning view). Took us six hours to get to Southwold, but it was so worth it. Felt we had travelled back to a simpler time. Wonderful place.
