Anna “A comfy, cosy cottage, even in February.”

Comfy, cosy property and generally well-equipped, with thoughtful touches eg nice tea and coffee, sachets of sauces etc. Felt very peaceful, though we stayed in February, so not peak holiday/wedding season. Enjoyed walking through the grounds of Norwood Park and it was a treat to have the hot tub. Southwell is nearby and had everything we needed in terms of food shopping and takeaways. Nottingham, Newark, Sherwood Forest and other things within easy reach for days out. Another time, I would like to explore further along the Sherwood way - a disused railway line, now footpath/bridleway.

Lovely location in Norwood Park with access to well marked footpaths, but close enough to Southwell to be able to walk into town. We were impressed everything - the cottage was lovely and had everything you needed in it. Lots of parking and beautifully quiet it ticked all the boxes for us. It's good to find a place that welcomes dogs too, our dog was very keen on his goody pack. We had a small visitor in the garden one morning when one of the pigs invaded and dug up the grass. Not only was he gathered up very quickly after our phone call but the damage was repaired by the end of the day. We felt very welcome and will definitely stay here again when visiting the mother in law.

So clean and comfortable & staff couldn’t do enough for us. Lovely relaxing place to stay with our two little kids. Garden and grounds are gorgeous.
