Please note that the car park at The Star Hotel has a limited capacity and operates on a first-come, first-served basis, at a cost of GBP 7 per day for cars and GBP 9 for vans. Due to the style of the building, there are narrow and steep stairs leading to the rooms, which may not be suitable for guests with reduced mobility.Parking is subject to availability due to limited spaces.
Guests are required to show a photo identification and credit card upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply.
Guests under the age of 18 can only check in with a parent or official guardian.

Very characterful building, large room and large bathroom. Comfortable bed. We were given a fan with no issues. Excellent location for the ferry port. Vast amount of options for evening meal. We found a fabulous Sri Lankan, Maalu Ceylon. Breakfast was nice.

Very friendly and helpful receptionist. Excellent central location with incredibly affordable parking. Room decent size for single. Bathroom more like small wet room, with basin just outside ie in bedroom. Great cooked brekkie included in price. Bed rather soft and squeaky but more comfy than you'd expect. Not much noise from car park or High Street, even with windows open on Friday night. Not The Ritz but excellent value if you're happy with budget option.
