I stayed at the hotel under two separate reservations, which makes the dates important to mention. I was very impressed by the customer service at check-in on 21 January. The colleague who answered the phone before noon, when I wanted to verify the possibility of leaving my luggage before check-in, was extremely polite and helpful. The welcome at check-in was excellent, and my first impression upon entering the hotel was very positive, including the pleasant smell and the welcoming atmosphere. Later on 21 January, I noticed that the room was significantly colder than the corridor, despite the heaters being set to the maximum. The way the staff handled this issue was impressive: they provided a small heater and offered to change the room if this did not resolve the problem. On 22 January, I extended my stay via Booking.com for 23–25 January, creating a second reservation. That evening, I wanted to confirm the possibility of staying in the same room so I would not have to move my belongings. It appeared that the staff member handling the request was new. Unfortunately, the way the request was addressed was not optimal, which points more to a training and management issue than individual fault. One response I received was: “Unless nobody else really wants that room, we can keep you there,” which I found inappropriate. I asked to be considered as a person who really wanted that room. At that point another colleague confirmed specifically that only minimal cleaning service would be provided on 23 January (emptying the rubbish bin and changing towels if needed) and yet another one that there should be no problem to keep the room. I was supposed to confirm in the morning SEE BELOW :-(

Delightful staff, clean and neat room. Good value for money. Groceries were walking distance away. Extra heater was very helpful during a little extreme weather.

Booked for one night and extended stay for a further 3 days… confidently located with exceptional staff… seriously the customer service was not forced or mechanical.. I have frequently stayed in 5 star hotels but this team shames many… if their compensation isn’t sufficient the owners will lose this valuable resource…
