Excellent location for the abbey and not far from river walks. Solemnes has little else to recommend - no cafes or bars.

Comfortable clean hotel with excellent first class restaurant. Obviously have a very good chef and quite busy so everyone knows. Need to book dinner.

Lovely location and parking helpful. Our suite was large, very comfortable and apart from the abbey bells, quiet. In fact lovely to see and hear the abbey. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Dinner was a surprise in that, although quite expensive, it far exceeded our expectations of hotel meals and was delicious ( a fish in a Thai broth and a Cointreau hot soufflé stood out ) Wine was arranged…in an incredibly heavy tome…, by region and was fairly priced. We prefer continental breakfast and there was a good selection of fruit yoghurts and pastries to suit us and superb coffee. A young waiter who waited on us at dinner along with his lovely more experienced mentor appeared to manage breakfast in the dining room on his own and should be commended for his efficiency, politeness and attention to detail. We had a lovely stay.
