A touch of luxury, the Grand Hotel Millennium Sofia, is the real deal! On checking in early, I was given an absolutely massive room with two double beds, a desk as well as a table and two armchairs. (This was described as "a standard room" and left me wondering what the hotel suites were like). Everything in the room had been designed to make life as easy as possible. Not for this hotel, any 'do not disturb' paper signs to hang on the door. Instead, there were electronic buttons for this. There were no dog-eared paper descriptions of the hotel services either. All this information was on the large television in easy drop down menus. I didn't even have to close my own curtains, as there were electronic buttons to do this for me. The room was also beautifully quiet, and I heard absolutely nothing from the outside, so was able to sleep brilliantly. I absolutely loved the spa area on the first floor as well. The swimming pool is a decent size for swimming lengths. There are two separate jacuzzis and a multitude of saunas each with different temperatures, as well as a herbal steam room and different types of shower sprays. I had an absolutely fantastic massage there as well. I ate in the hotel's Mediterra restaurant once after my spa afternoon. The food was excellent and the service prompt and attentive. I also had a room service dinner, after I unexpectedly fell in the nearby National Palace of Culture and wrenched my ankle. The onscreen menu made it very easy to order, and the food arrived hot and was excellent. The staff, who all spoke matchless English, could not do enough for you. They brought up a massive bag of ice, after my fall, and showed touching kindness and concern along with it. In short, I loved this hotel and will definitely be back for treats and spa breaks with friends.

Rooms are spacious, modern and comfortable, and breakfast was expansive and tasty.

Location was amazing, but the most exceptional about the hotel was the room view. Huge windows overlooking Sofia city!!! Simply fantastic! Room was big, as well as beds, and bar on 29th floor was exceptional! I definitely recommend it. We checked in early and we asked to pay for it, but Georgi, was more than polite and he provided us with the room for free, three hours earlier. We will definitely check in there again!!!
