The unusual nature of the signal box. It was very interesting as was the history of the old station. The log burner was brilliant and the good supply of logs and kindling to use on it was brilliant. It was very well equipped and the bed was very comfortable. We cooked a complete Christmas dinner while we were there. There were several walks from the garden gate. There were also a good selection of pubs nearby to have a drink and meals. We visited the White Lion on Christmas eve and had a delicious meal there. It was also near to Lee on Solent . This is an interesting place to visit. The owner was very friendly and helpful.

Location was quite and easy access to local walks and pubs. Good for a weekend getaway for rest and relaxation.

A really unique place! Very comfortable and cosy and in a beautiful location. The owners were lovely - very friendly and knowledgable about the history of the area and having ducks, chickens and geese around together with their dogs was an added bonus. The Signal Box was a real find and we will definitely go back.
