What a magical place. We spent our last night of Kruger expedition here just to treat ourselves. Our guide managed to find us two leopards during our two drives. All three meals were good with breakfast being exceptionally good. The view from this place is magical and so much better than the pictures here. highly highly recommended.

The staff were all fantastic. A warm welcome followed by special treatment for my wife's Birthday. The Tracker and Ranger were both brilliant and found plenty of animals on the safari trips. The rooms are lovely and the food is excellent.

More generally about Sabie Sands game reserve: Being a private property, the trucks are allowed to go off-road for sightings and there are no other vehicules. To enter the SS reserve you must be a registered guest at one of the lodges and no self driving is allowed. The animal viewing are top notch. Lodge: +Lodge placed directly on the river side of Sandie river. + Large open common area directly on river ++We had the most knowlegeable ranger possible: Shannon. She grew up in the bush and was taught by her dad and family. She made our experience truly unforgettable as she knew and explained with passion every living creature we encountered on our way. From the smallest bird to the largest animal. + We saw: a large herd of buffalo, girrafes, a herd of elephants, zebras, two rhinos and two leopards at night. +The property is in the middle of the Sabie Sands reserve, therefore a lot of animals cross +River front rooms are large with a large private terrace. + Service is done by rangers who do their utmost best to make you feel at home

Location, facility arrangement and style, rooms with a great view and terrace, staff, food and game drives out if this world real up close encounters and saw the “big 5” and Jan our guide was terrific.
