Villa Hirunda Rustica is an absolute gem of a holiday find and an exceptional holiday accomodation. We would rate this as one of the best places we have ever stayed. The facilities are fantastic, from the gorgeous pool, the jacuzzis, egg chair, table tennis tables, basketball net, football goals, with the meditternian orchard at the back, and a family of tortoises roaming around the grounds (our kids loved the three baby tortoises) and huge amounts of space. There was even fresh fruit to pick from the garden- figs, pears, plums and nuts. The house is designed to the highest spec -with beautiful features around the house and has a feel of a very high end boutique hotel. Other reviewers had noted the wonderful taste of the hosts- and we would agree with everything that was written and more. The pictures really do not do it justice, it was just perfect. Every detail was thought out for guests- shade around the terrace, lovely places to sit and lovely features around the house and gardens. Location was also great for visiting Trogir, Split, Zadar- and 5 minutes from Krka Lakes. The hosts also showed us a small local beach around 5 minutes from the property which we practically had to ourselves. Finally we can not rate the hosts Marko and Maje more highly. They helped us with everything we needed - answering our questions before and during the stay-no problem was too big, they just wanted us to be comfortable and to have a great holiday- with gifts when we arrived, during our stay- and a gift bag when we left! A gem of a booking.com accomodation- we have recommended to family and friends and we hope to return.

There is a reason why this place has such a good rating, all the reviews are true. Every aspect is incredible! The house is exactly as it appears in the pictures, beautifully dressed and furnished to an exceptionally high standard. The outside area is fantastic, the pool with floats, a jacuzzi, sauna, outdoor kitchen and dining, ping pong, bbq, pizza oven, mini football nets, weight training area, even outdoor bar fridges and a cute little trolley to take things down to the second eating area. We loved having use of the bikes and found some good routes nearby through woodland areas leading to the lake. Air con is excellent as is the wifi and we loved the American fridge freezer with the water and ice dispenser. There is a little supermarket nearby and Scradin with its many restaurants and shops is a 5 min drive away or 10 mins on the bikes (big hill back up though!) Finally the lovely warm welcome and friendship from Maya and Markus. Nothing was too much trouble for them. They were so kind and helpful and genuinely cared that everything was perfect for us. They even gave us home made treats. There were also so many great towns/sights to visit nearby. We really did have the best holiday in every sense and can’t wait to go back to this wonderful and very special place.

The cleanliness, the facilities and a very supportive and welcoming staff

This was one of our most cherrished experience and by far the best accomodation we have been to lately. The accommodation is situated in a quiet and peacefull little village of Bićine, near the lovely city of Skradin (5min drive or a 15min bicycle ride). There are nice tracks round the villa to go for a run (village of Prukljan, cross at Krka bridge), as well as a lot of tracks for a bike ride round the Krka National Park. We utilized some of the fishing spots near the accommodation as well. Overall a lot of things to do and see. Tremendous, wonderful, beautiful, comfortable to name a few, are the words to describe the accomodation. The accommodation offers everything as described (pool, jacuzzi, infrared and finnish sauna,…). The place is fully stacked with what you need for a normal life (we haven’t missed anything). The accommodation is tastefully decorated with top of the line furniture and gadgets, reflecting on traditional materials and mediteranian feel. Special detail is set to the lighting as well (round 130 lights). The accomodation is also extremely clean and well taken care of. Above all we have to commend the professionalism, friendliness and helpfulness of our hosts Maja and Marko. They were proactive in satisfying all of our curiosity, needs and were not intrusive at all. Maja held constant mobile contact with us and Marko was directly present at the location. Marko also provided us with info regarding the surrounding and activities. He was helpfull and friendly at every step, he greeted us with the welcome drink and food and gave us the keys. Furthermore he explained everything we needed to know, offered to drive us to the Skradin if needed, lent us the fishing rod and so much more… Perfect hosts, perfect accommodation, perfect location and therefore a fairytale stay.
