It is located beside the ring road, so convenient in every seasons. Room is big enough, with desk and confortable beds. there is a kitchen with all accessories for cooking and some food for breakfast (cereals, milk, biscuits, etc). Self check-in is a plus if you arrive late due to stormy weather or something else.

Skammidalur is basically a small hostel. With only 4 rooms it's kind of brilliant in simplicity. It has 4 rooms and 2 bathrooms. It has everything you need, it's cosy and the people are friendly and helpful. Who are also friendly are the two dogs It's a great budget option and we enjoyed our stay

Kitchen is pretty big, they offer delicious cookies, very close to vik to buy what you need
