I wanted somewhere special to celebrate our silver wedding anniversry and Villa Socrates caught my eye and I'm so glad I booked it. It was perfect in every way - spacious, lovingly furnished and well-equiped but to be honest we spent very little time inside as the pool and outside area were fantastic. It was the best and biggest pool we've ever had (and we've stayed in a lot of villas), with breathtaking views. Linda met us and she was so welcoming and friendly. She had filled the fridge with lots of goodies and even picked some peppers and aubergines from the vegtable garden for us. Apart from a few lunches out in Skala, we stayed at the villa the whole time as we wanted to make the most of every second there.

We absolutely LOVED our time at Villa Socrates. From the moment my wife and I arrived, we were welcomed with such warmth by our wonderful host, David. His kindness and hospitality made us feel instantly at home.The villa itself is simply stunning—without a doubt the nicest place we have ever stayed, and it will be hard to beat for future holidays. The view from the terrace and pool area is breathtaking, the kind you never get tired of. There are plenty of outdoor seating areas to relax, dine, or just enjoy the scenery, and the infinity pool gave us endless moments of fun and relaxation.One of the highlights was the generous gift of fresh fruit and vegetables grown on-site by David and his family. We enjoyed many delicious meals at the villa thanks to their thoughtful gesture, and the produce lasted us almost the entire week.Inside, the villa is just as impressive. The rooms are spacious and spotless, the beds incredibly comfortable, and the top bedroom—with its panoramic view—was our favorite. The air conditioning made the warm Kefalonian nights perfectly pleasant. Villa Socrates is more than just a beautiful place to stay—it’s a place where you feel truly cared for. We left with wonderful memories and can’t wait to return.

The pool is amazing. The villa has everything you need and the views are spectacular. David and his family are excellent hosts. Communication was very good and all the family were very welcoming. We would love to stay here again.
