We had the most wonderful three-night stay at Hotel Arena in Sirmione and couldn’t recommend it more highly. Travelling as a couple, we booked an economy double room, and it completely exceeded our expectations. The room was beautifully furnished, immaculately clean, and we were delighted to have a small balcony with a lovely view of Lake Garda—such a perfect spot to relax. The pool area was fantastic—peaceful, well-kept, and ideal for unwinding after a day exploring. But what truly made our stay exceptional was the staff. Every single person—from the daytime team to the manager and his wife, as well as the evening staff—went above and beyond to make our stay special. Nothing was ever too much trouble. They helped us plan bus and walking routes, gave great recommendations on where to visit, and even booked a restaurant for our first night. They also assisted us in arranging a taxi to the airport for our early 10am flight. Although we initially considered the bus, they advised it would take too long, so we opted for a €70 taxi which took just 30 minutes—worth every penny for peace of mind. Breakfast each morning was an absolute highlight. Served from 7:30 to 10:00 on a charming outdoor terrace, it was fresh, plentiful, and delicious. There was everything you could want—great coffee, fresh fruit, croissants, eggs, bacon, breads, pastries, yoghurts, cheeses—just a perfect start to the day. We also had a lovely afternoon by the pool chatting with a group of German guests who were visiting on business—it added to the warm and friendly atmosphere of the hotel. The location is ideal: around a 10-minute walk into central Sirmione and about a 40-minute scenic walk to the castle. There’s also a convenient shuttle bus for €2 each way. Sirmione itself is absolutely stunning, with breathtaking views of Lake Garda, and it’s perfectly situated for exploring the lake. We took a ferry across to the east side for a day trip, which was equally beautiful.

Great location, excellent breakfast with a variety of options and freshly baked goods as well as hot food and fruit. The staff were attentive and provided helpful information about how to get around. The free bike hire was an added bonus.

Good location, clean rooms, friendly cleaners, the receptionist with the glasses who is there during the evening time was so helpful with taxis and buses and was very friendly as was the man who was there at night time, both were super friendly.
