Location, location! On the large piazza across.from the church snd sepulchre of the patron of the city, Santa Lucia. Definitely worth a visit to see the Carravggio painting and the 'sweating' marble statue! The tasty breakfast in the friendly Agora cafe (check-in for room at the back). Great choice of delicious pastries. All the staff I encountered were very pleasant and helpful. Leaving my backpack fir a few hours the next morning do I could explore the archaeological park was not a problem at all. My very funky room 9 was on 2 storeys with a spiral stair up to the bedroom. You do need to be fit and agile though.. And short legged - sitting on the toilet is a tight fit.

Good location: easy walk to Oritigia (15-20 minutes). Safe neighbourhood. Nice breakfast. Room was spacious and was cleaned daily. The staff were helpful and allowed me to keep my bag there for a few hours after check-out.
