This charming, spacious, well-managed hotel is situated in stunning grounds with incredible views. The staff are so friendly and helpful and everything was immaculately clean. If you prefer characterful and dignified hotels then this one is for you! It’s in a slightly tricky location, close to the Quinta do Regaleira, where the roads are steep and winding and used by tourist buses. However, if you want to visit the nearby QdR then it’s ideal as you can walk there. The breakfasts were good and a roaring fire was maintained daily which was atmospheric and cosy, particularly in the evenings. The pool was a good size and kept clean even though there were not many users. The hotel is quiet and there is a sublime scent from the exquisite garden. Highly recommended!
