Margot “Lovely, comfortable little house in the historic district”

Casa doce is a cleverly renovated old house in Silves’s historic center. Like all the old houses on the hillside, the footprint is small, but the renovations have made the most of the space and the result is a cute, comfortable house for 1-2 people. Extra kudos for the bathroom and kitchen remodel. It was rainy during my stay, so I could only briefly admire the rooftop terrace.

The house is very welcoming, cosy, and well equipped. Sally was a wonderful host: she had the heating on when we arrived in the evening and welcomed us with a lovely welcome hamper. On check-out day, she also kindly took us to the train station. Great location and everything you need for a perfect stay.

Lovely house, very well kitted out, has everything you might need for a stay. Lots of extra touches that make a difference. Clean and comfortable. Very well equipped kitchen. Good location, easy to walk to everywhere in Silves. Near the centre but quiet and peaceful. Excellent host - very helpful, responsive and thoughtful. Good WIFI. Had a great week there.

Casa Doce is like a home from home. Sally has included many touches and extra provisions most hosts don’t consider important. We appreciated the stocked cupboards, welcome drinks and overview of places she recommended to explore. The home was cool and in a quiet neighbourhood with beautiful views from the terrace.
