Casa Doce is like a home from home. Sally has included many touches and extra provisions most hosts don’t consider important. We appreciated the stocked cupboards, welcome drinks and overview of places she recommended to explore. The home was cool and in a quiet neighbourhood with beautiful views from the terrace.

An excellent property, in the old town of Silves, very close to the castle and cathedral, and restaurants. Very tastefully decorated and well equipped. The roof terrace was a real bonus. The English owner could not have been more helpful. Free parking in the road. A couple of things to be aware of. The roads in the old part of Silves are narrow, so hire a small car. Also probably best to avoid if infirm. The shortish walk to the river where many of the facilities are is steep, as are the steps up to the roof terrace. Apart from this, I thoroughly recommend this property.
