Please note that driver's accommodation is available for USD 10 per night.Please note that a non-refundable deposit of 50% will be charged from the credit card (Visa or Mastercard) within 30 days of arrival. Please note that a 3% fee will be charged on all credit card payments. The balance has to be settled at the lodge in cash (USD, Euro or Sri Lankan Rupees), as the property does not accept card payment, or we shall collect the balance payment from your card on your arrival or 7 days before your arrival date from the head office.Please note that the property can arrange for a pick-up from Sigiriya or an intermediate point at an additional cost of USD 7 for one way.Please note that the property recommends that the guests arrive before dark (6:00 p.m.) and use an elevated vehicle as the last stretch of the road is bumpy.Please note that by making a reservation, you would be entering a wildlife area and staying on an unfenced property. The stay or tours conducted might bring you into contact with or vicinity of wild animals (including snakes, spiders, wild boars, elephants, etc.). Back of Beyond staff members, associates, and/or agents cannot be held liable for any encounters involving the behavior of wild animals. The stay and entry into the wildlife area and Back of Beyond are at your own risk and responsibility.Please inform in advance of your expected arrival time. I loved the location, being far inside the wilderness. The boulder house we stayed in was very spacious and comfy and gave us an exceptional experience sleeping so close to nature. They had a private open shower in nature and provided hot water, which was amazing given that it was a bit chilly during our stay. The food was exceptionally tasty, and great service, and everyone was extremely welcoming and lovely and enthusiastic to show us around.

The location is amazing - in the heart of the jungle, so peaceful with only the sounds of the birds. The staff were incredible - so attentive - they took us on a jungle walk, arranged for us to have a candlelit dinner in the jungle, and arranged transport and activity tours. The food is delicious - the best we’ve had in Sri Lanka!

The name says it all. Its a true back of beyond experience. You are in the forest/jungle and you get the full jungle experience. There Is nothing to worry about though. At night time you may hear strange noises but feel completely safe. Also the food made there personaly for you is Excellent and at a reasonable price. The staff are also very helpful . Totally recomended.

The location in the middle of the jungle was stunning. At night time all you can hear is the sound of the jungle- quite magical. Waking up to the hundreds of birds all around is also very special. Our trips (a boat ride and safari) and all our transport was perfectly organised by Dhammika who went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable and share his knowledge of the area with us. The food was excellent - Nihal and Ajith made us delicious meals (one breakfast was even served down by the stream which was a lovely surprise). Madurangu and Raju also looked after us so well. We’re so glad we stayed 2 nights. I would happily have stayed much longer!

Back of Beyond is brilliant, we stayed in one of the tree houses, and whilst you're in the elements a bit (there is a mosquito net!) with loads of nature around you and wildlife noises through the night - this is a totally unique and amazing experience. Staff were terrific and helped with everything, and the food cooked by the staff was actually some of the best food we had in Sri Lanka. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

The treehouse is a unique experience to try once. View are amazing from the terrace, the night can be a bit humid but overall it is great . Food is really good and staff are nice and extremely helpful.

We spent wonderful time in this hotel, nature and wilderness is all over you. It is located in beautiful garden with small beautiful lake blooming with flowers, and river on the other side. It is not easy to get there but definitely worth it , one time we saw elephants crossing the road, you live on a tree your room have no walls only bed is covered with mosquitoes net. If you look up you will see monkeys and beautiful birds. If that was not enough you will meet most wonderful kind staff , they will Help you with everything , they are very modest,kind people. You will find there food that is just amazing !!!!! It was the best food we had in Sri Lanka :) go there for a taste of paradise
