The hostess was very kind and welcoming. She entertained us with whiskey, helped us dress up in traditional Romanian clothes, and also helped us wash our clothes. Everything was so wonderful.

I was traveling through Maramures to visit some of the beautiful, centuries-old wooden churches they have in the region. Ieud was one on my list as were Poienile Izei and Barsana, which are all very close to here. In any case, this lodging is located on the main road in Sieu, so was super-easy to find. They have a prominent sign out front near their gate if the GPS is failing. In any case, the owners are an extremely kind couple, willing to chat and share some palinka. From their backyard, one can "spy" on the neighbors who have sheep, cows, chickens, and a host of other livestock. I thought the room was super-comfortable, the adjoining bathroom was great, and I slept very soundly. There was plenty of space to car my rental car out back as well.

The rooms are spacious and clean, have their own bathroom and air conditioning, the bed is comfortable, everything is new. There is enough parking space, large dining room, kitchen, two pavilions in the garden. The common areas are beautifully decorated with handicrafts and local costumes. Breakfast and dinner were delicious, the host was very kind and the price was decent.
