The owner is very very nice. Breakfast is delivered in front of your room and you can have your breakfast looking at the garden every morning. It is so peaceful.

There are nicer places to stay in Sidemen but they are more expensive too. House Market offers a cheaper, more basic alternative that is both comfortable, relaxing and memorable. It is in the town rather than in the tourist enclave which is good or bad depending on your point of view. I liked it. Each of the four rooms have a large bedroom and bathroom. Each room has its own atmospheric terrace to sit outside and enjoy the garden amongst traditional Balinese village architecture and a view of the hill. It is quiet with no indication you are near to the main road into Sidemen. It is under ten minutes walk to several restaurants with views and good food. There is plenty of parking space but also walking distance along quiet roads to the Rice Terrace Walk or the Yellow Bridge for those without transport. The owner is pleasant and will try to facilitate a nice stay for guests.

The greenery in front of the buildings is very pleasant. The owner takes care of the garden, and it's a pleasure to spend time on the terrace. Clean bedding and bed. Stable Wi-Fi. Large bathroom. The older room I stayed in needs updating, but it's still okay. It's clean and well-maintained. A charming and kind family cares about both their clients and their own. If you prefer to be in a part of town where life goes on normally, not for tourists, this is perfect for you.
